These are called subject descriptors - categories chosen because of their probable relevance to the topics you are asking questions about.
It is worth saying here that subject descriptors should not be chopped too finely, espe- cially if numbers are not large.
Further, if you set out your subject descriptors in this way you can often see where the range of answers might be divided in two, with reasonable numbers above and below the line, for later statistical analysis.
